Halloween Themed Cut-out Sugar Cookies

It is finally October and that means making treats that will reflect the occasion. These cookies are perfect for any social settings because they are simple and yet delicious.  The recipe itself, can be used for any cut-out cookie that you would like to frost.

Simple Cut-Out Sugar Cookies and Royal Icing

Because it's almost Halloween and the holiday season is coming up, I wanted to share a recipe that would work well with any holiday and/or occasion.  

These cookies are extremely soft, slightly sweet and very flavorful.  The cool thing about these cookies are that they can be made to fit any occasion and it really just depends on how you shape them.  I've made them for about every holiday that I can think of.  For example, Easter, St. Patricks Day, The Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas to name a few.

Raspberry Almond Rugelach

Freshly baked rugelach is something truly to die for.  Soft, slightly sweet, with a hint of almond, and a slight tang from the raspberry jam, you really can't just have one and say you are good to go.  I've been wanting to make these for awhile now but, never really found the time.  From all the homework to the exams that I had this month, I rarely have time to bake or cook anything at all.

A great cookie to have with your cup of morning coffee or a quick-grab snack before you start your day, these chocolate espresso biscotti are the perfect not-too-sweet treat.

Jam Filled Thumbprint Cookies

Just another unproductive day I would say!  I really want to know who invented procrastination because I really I want smack them behind the head right now.  But then again if not for them, I wouldn't be able to bake all of these treats =D !  
These cookies are a must try!!! I got this recipe from my aunt a few years back and they are the best. They are soft and buttery, just melt in your mouth good.  I think I've eaten six by the time I was done with my second batch!
